About Our E-Bikes

  • As with many products, there is a huge range of E-Bikes available today. We know someone who paid over 15K for one bike! So when we say entry-level we mean that you would be dipping your toes into the new world of E-Bikes without breaking the bank.

  • Yes, absolutely. We would prefer you test your potential “dream machine” to make sure it's exactly what you want.

  • Yes. One of the great things about E-Bikes is that you can adjust how much assistance it gives you as you pedal. Usually, the PAS (Pedal Assistance System) has a setting range from 0 to 5. On the Zero setting, you ride it like a normal bicycle with no assistance, and on level 5 it gives you maximum assistance- this is especially good when climbing hills!

  • Our 3 models are great for short trips around town, down to the beach and for shopping. So, with petrol prices the way they are, you save on fuel costs while you get fresh air and exercise at the same time.

  • Yes, electric bikes (E-Bikes) can be ridden in NSW just like normal bicycles with their speed limited to 25km/hr and with a motor that is 500W or less.

  • In NSW E-Bikes must be speed limited to 25km/hr. You may of course exceed this speed if you pedal it faster and harder or are going downhill! However, the motor will cut out once you exceed the 25km/hr limit.

 

Delivery, Repairs and Warranty

  • We source our E-Bikes directly from the manufacturer and import them ourselves. Hence we only source models that are most affordable and the best value for money.

  • Generally, we offer a pick-up service. However, if you really have your heart set on owning a Jimmy, Joey or Jenny, then we are happy to have a chat about the best way to get it to you.

  • Zippy E Bikes has a bike mechanic on hand to service or repair your E-Bike if needed. Depending upon the situation you may have to pay for this service.

  • Our ebikes come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. All our E-Bikes have been tested both by the manufacturer and our team. In the unlikely event that you identify a problem with your new E-Bike, we are happy to negotiate with the overseas-based manufacturer on your behalf. This process may, however, take quite some time.
